Ski & Snowboard Lessons

With 120 instructors, the largest in the region, our lessons at Sundown Mountain Resort are 50% longer than most resorts. Our ski instructors are here to ensure that you have a great time on the slopes while learning safely. With their expertise and experience, you can trust that you’ll be in good hands as you navigate the mountain.

A valid lift ticket or season pass is required for every lesson. We recommend guests arrive at the mountain at least 2 hours before lesson time if purchasing rentals.

KIDS PARK LESSONS: Kids Park Lessons will meet at the top of the Beginner Area under the Group Lesson Sign, outside the Mountain Center until further notice.

Daily Group Lesson

Ages 9 & Up

$25 per person/lesson

  • Monday*-Saturday: 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 3 pm, and 5:30 pm
  • Sunday: 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 4 pm

Kids Park Group Lesson

Ages 10 and younger

$70* per person/lesson
  • ▫Lessons Available ONLY Saturday, Sunday and Holidays
  • ▫Lesson Times: 10 am, Noon, and 2 pm
  • ▫90-Minute Lesson
  • *Includes an all-area lift ticket valid the whole day of your lesson and a 90-minute lesson.

Adaptive Ski Lesson

For blind and physically challenged individuals of all ages.

$25 per instructor/lesson

Multi-week Lessons: Learn to Ski/Snowboard Programs

Ages 4 & Up.

Starting at $135 For three-sessions includes lift ticket, rental and lesson fee.
  • ▫Students meet for a lesson once a week (same day) for three consecutive weeks.
  • ▫Kids Park Staff teaches ages 4-8
  • ▫Lesson Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday
  • ▫Lesson Time: Tues. Wed. Thurs: 5:30 pm & Sun. 4:00 pm

Reservations are required to secure your spot. Walk-ins will be accepted only if we have the capacity.
Our online lesson reservation system will shut down at 5 pm the day prior so all pre-registered people’s information can be processed.**

* Open ONLY select Mondays. See the Hours of Operation page for dates.
** Rentals reserved online must be made by 3 PM the day before your scheduled arrival. Some exclusions apply.
