SUMMARY:Sundown Gene Gordon Memorial Race 2021
DESCRIPTION:The first-ever Sundown “Gene Gordon Memorial” Race will take place this year instead of our usual WIJARA race weekend. This race is open to any racer ages 5-19 years old. You do not need to have any team or race hill affiliation. This is an open invitation race weekend. All individual racers will compete in the U-class age brackets by gender (U8\, U10\, U12\, U14\, U16\, U18\, U20). U-class is “U” Under that particular age. U8 = 7-yr\, 6-yr\, 5-yr olds; U10 = 9-yr\, 8-yr olds; U12 = 11-yr\, 10-yr olds; U14 = 13-yr\, 12-yr olds; U16 = 15-yr\, 14-yr olds; U18 = 17-yr\, 16-yr olds; U20 = 19-yr\, 18-yr olds. Age for the U-class will be determined by DOB as of 12-31-2020 (for example if your racer is 12 years old as of 12-31-2020 – they would be in the U14 class). The format will be GS (Giant Slalom) on Saturday and Slalom racing on Sunday. There is no team competition for this event. We will follow WIJARA competition rules for this event. It is not affiliated with WIJARA or USSA. Entry Cost for this event is $10\, paid day of the event. The deadline to sign-up is Monday\, January 18\, 2021. Gatekeeper Lift Tickets will be handed out at the meeting and specific gate-keeper locations will be assigned. Make sure all gate-keepers are in place at 8:40 am.
