Welcome to Sundown Mountain - Dubuque, Iowa.

SUNDOWN MOUNTAIN is BIG, BEAUTIFUL and EXCITING. Countless skiers and riders return year after year to enjoy our slopes. Over six years we were the only Midwest resort granted the NSAA Award of Excellence. Our highest lift has greater top to bottom vertical than all resorts in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota south of Duluth and all but two in Wisconsin. Two mountain top lodges overlook 100 square miles, 21 scenic trails and two remarkable terrain parks carved out of a century old cedar forest reminiscent of Colorado.

Sundown Mountain has plenty of snow and we want you to join us for some end of the season skiing and snowboarding. Our way of helping you to do this is by offering you some great deals on lift tickets and rentals. Starting Monday, March 8th through the end of the season a lift ticket only is just $24 and a lift ticket and ski/snowboard rental is just $38. Weather permitting, on Monday, March 8th through Friday March 12th our hours will be 10 am to 9 pm. On Saturday, March 13th our hours will be 9 am to 9 pm and Sunday, March 14th our hours will be 9 am to 6 pm. The SLUSH CUP will be held on Sunday, March 14th. Weather permitting it is possible we will open for Friday, March 19th, Saturday, March 20th, and Sunday March 21st.

Local Sundown Snowboarder Featured on NBC's Today Show

If you haven't seen the video that was featured on NBC's Today Show about Wesley Muresan, take a look at this 3 year old snowboarder. The cameras from NBC joined Wesley and Today's co-anchor Jenna Wolfe for a day on the slopes at Sundown Mountain in Dubuque, IA.   Wesley and his 8 year old brother Devin, along with is parents visit Sundown Mountain three to four times a week.  Wesley started snowboarding 2 months ago at 3 years old!  It didn't take long for Wesley to move from the beginner slope to the more appealing bigger hills and terrain parks. Wesley was also featured on KWWL on Friday, February 19th showing off his passion for snowboarding.
